Mark Your Calendars for Broadway at the Commons, a One-Day-Only, Outdoor Musical Event presented by Bridgewater Commons
WHAT: In partnership with American Theater Group (ATG), Somerset County’s newest professional theater company, Bridgewater Commons, the more than 1.2 million square foot shopping, dining and entertainment center located along I-287 at the intersections of Route 22 and Route 202/206, is bringing the iconic songs of Broadway to Somerset County!
Taking place Sat., June 26 from 1 to 2 p.m. in Parking Lot 7 by Macy’s, Broadway at the Commons promises to be a can’t-miss, family-friendly spectacle where the most beloved Broadway songs will be performed live on stage by members of the cast of ATG’s production of The Bridges of Madison County. The performance will follow a special opening act, “Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats,” courtesy of Bernards Township School District’s award-winning Ridge Drama Club. There, 17 original cast members from the club’s recently sold out performances of the famed musical Cats will perform.
Open to the public, Broadway at the Commons is free to attend.
In addition to this event, ATG will also proudly present a weekend of encore concerts of its critically acclaimed production of The Bridges of Madison County. Taking place at Pleasant Valley Park Amphitheatre in Basking Ridge on Fri. and Sat., June 25 and 26, the free outdoor events will begin at 8pm. For more information visit americantheatergroup.org.
